BLOOD DRIVE

All blood drives will be held at St. Peter Chanel cafeteria from 9:00am - 1:30pm. Donors are always needed because when parishes reach the pre-established goal of collected units, fellow parishioners are covered for blood replacement services. Volunteers are needed to assist in taking care of parishioners who participate.

CARDS

Get well cards are sent to parishioners who are seriously ill. Sympathy cards are sent to parishioners of our parishes who have lost a loved one. Volunteers are needed and welcome to help with this ministry.
CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY
The following committees serve as both a resource and help to parishioners who have questions and needs concerning chemical dependency. For information about any of these committees, please contact the Pastoral Center at 869-5751. All calls are confidential.
Alcoholics Anonymous
This program serves all those with alcohol related problems and the group meets at various times. Click here for list.
EMBRACE GRACE

This ministry seeks to give single young women, with unplanned pregnancies, loving spiritual support with 11-week long classes of testimonials, videos, and sharing groups. We hope to help them to experience God’s unconditional love during their pregnancy and through every season of their and their baby’s lives.
NURSING HOME

Mass is celebrated at Chateau St. James in Lutcher on the third Monday of every month at 10:00 AM and a Communion Service is held on all other Mondays at 10:00 AM. Parishioners from the cluster help with the services, join in the singing, and assist with the distribution of Holy Communion.
PRISON MINISTRY

Those incarcerated at the St. James Parish Prison receive spiritual and emotional support through prayers. We respond to the Gospel call to love all people through involvement in this ministry. To request a personal visit by the Pastor for your loved one, contact the Pastoral Center.
RESPECT LIFE COMMITTEE

This committee seeks to foster the appreciation of all life from the moment of conception to natural death. This is done through organized prayer and educational activities in the parishes.

Prescription Drug Assistance Program 869-1078
The St. Vincent de Paul Society provides assistance to those in need of food, clothing and other assistance throughout the year. The St. Vincent de Paul Store and Food Pantry are open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Food Pantry distribution is held on the first and third Wednesday of each month from 9AM to 12 Noon. Donations and contributions are always welcome during business hours. The last Sunday of each month, non-perishable food donations are collected at all Masses in our parishes.
